Your coordinator receives an email confirming the registration and the campaign dates.

We send the reading resources, classroom ideas, communications templates and fundraising guidance.

School setup

Your coordinator confirms the school display name, reading goals and whether the school will fundraise.

Challenge launch

Read for Jarjum begins on Indigenous Literacy Day, Thursday 3 September 2026.

Start the conversation at school

  • Add Thursday 3 September to Friday 25 September to your school calendar.
  • Share Read for Jarjum with your Principal, Librarian, Literacy Coordinator and Curriculum Leader.
  • Think about whether one class, several year groups or the whole school will participate.
